These stories have been greatly shortened for whoever tells them to give them their own detail and stuff. If you have any ideas or problems with any of these stories tell me and I'll fix em/add em. :3 I put references or similar stories (if any) in brackets.
The Legend of the Origin: First existed Yang, lord of nothing, ruler of emptiness. Then came Yin, and of their essence came the other Gods and the world. The first wolf, Datus, was the first to inhabit the world. He pleaded to the Gods to give him a mate, for he was lonely, and thus was created the first she-wolf, Tai. Of them where born nine pups, one for each kind of wolf. Man was made by an error of the Gods, one involving the god of mischief, and they managed to somehow create the dogs that are seen today. Of the first dogs and the first wolves where born the foxes, and of them where created the rest of canines. The lords provided food for their world in return for their adoration and the occasional sacrifice. (Origin of most religions)
The Legend of the Dead: Shiron, the god of Death and Spirits has been the only Celestial Wolf not to run with the rest of the pack. He has always inhabited the underworld, a cold place where the spirits go to live eternally, unless they are reincarnated. About 900 years ago, Shiron had an argument with his siblings in which he was finally banished from the Celestial pack, never allowed to return. Angry, he refused to return to his throne and escaped the the mortal world, causing havoc, for without their lord, the spirits became unsettled and could not enter the underworld. Kite, lord of revenge and the one in charge of guiding spirits there was left in charge, but being only a minor God he didn't have enough power to keep it in best condition. After 100 years of hiding in solitude, Shiron found a wolf as miserable as he and entered his body. Since then, he had remained in the wolf, who should have died over 780 years ago, hiding from his siblings. (A Wolvine original :D)
The Myth of Aton: Aton is the hero of the canine world. Nobody is sure what species he is, and there are constant bickering about his kind, but he is often represented as a Maned Wolf, though he is thought to belong to a species that is long since extinct. There are many tales about his heroics, too many to list, and it is impossible to distinguish those true and those false, for he is said to be the son of Yang with unlimited powers.
