A brown wolf trotted swiftly across the hard ground, his pads only skimming the ground as he made his way. The stone was strange to him, so smooth and even. So hard. He had never been out of the forest before. It was all strange to him. The great grey figure of the Church loomed in front of him, his green eyes widening in awe. Kadal licked his lips, then went in. It was time to speak to his ancestors.
